This became the prototype….started off with the head which subsequently fell off while I was out road testing her…much hilarity in the shop as her head rolled across the floor…but it proved to be an inspirational moment. I loved the look of no face and had a Pom Pom laying around,as you do, and it just worked perfectly. Much making of Pom Poms ensued and the Dolly Bags were born.
Desigual on Regent St is a store well worth a look,even if,like me,you can’t stretch to their prices,you will always be inspired,I am sure.
A sparkling array of bottles adorn the ceiling of the store. So effective,who had the job of suspending those I wonder?….
Fabulousness….in a man’s shirt.Strips of print fabric added to a plain white shirt,made the effect of pin tucks,from a distance…..Now,there’s an idea!

Stunning displays and just one of the most inspiring shops,anywhere. Always a joy to visit. Go see,if you haven’t already.Its in Regent St and changes every time I visit,but consistently fabulous.
Found some plain lampshades and decided to do some hand embroidery,not done that for a while! I really can,t cope with ivory so tried dip dyeing the shades and got lovely results.finished them off with ric rac and Pom Pom edging.am now on a mission to find lamp bases for all.

Crazy cocktails
The sunshine today,yay,set me thinking about this dress I made last summer,but as yet have not worn.It began life as a tablecloth,someone’s souvenir of a trip to Australia maybe.I loved the print and colours and using an 80s dress pattern,transformed its use from table to wear-able!
